Jane Austen in Bath

This post is for you Katrina Hadjimichael...... I can sense the excitement growing for this!! We spent a lovely couple of hours at the Jane Austen centre and I was surprised she only lived here for 5 years. Larry is all enthused to get back into reading her books again as he has the whole collection at home. Reflections of Jane's time in Bath are written into some of her books and the family also spent time on short holidays here as well....

Before the tour we took Vicki for a cup of Jane Austen tea....I might add it was a lovely blend too as was the cheese scone........

All the staff are dressed Jane Austen style as well.......
After a 20 minute informative talk we had time to browse the displays..........

And the man she turned down........

 Amazing........see above
 Loved the loo doors.............

This is the view from our hotel window. It was foggy and drizzling for most of the day but we still enjoyed our amble.....
This is for you Faye but I daren't find out the price....the rabbit below was my choice but it was sadly left behind for 153 pounds....mind you worth every penny as it was beautifully made. And the cat was double the size of the rabbit..........

The famous Bath circus and Royal Crescent.......

The local archaeological team at work.....

Check out the size of Larry's lunch!......
and not a bad view as we got stuck into that lunch but I promise mine was half that size!.......

More tomorrow
