ReplyDeleteYour book calls for wool felt. I find blended wool with rayon on Amazon. Is that acceptable? I love the book!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, I do hope you get this message as your profile is not connected to an email address. I prefer wool felt as it doesn't stretch like some felts do. I haven't tried the blended wool with rayon so I would be interested to see how it is for you.....if it looks like it might stretch maybe give it a good wash before using it to help "felt" it a little but it may shrink a bit. Hope this helps and happy stitching x
DeleteThank you for such a delightful hour looking through your blog again Michele. Cheers Glenda Kuranda near Cairns FNQLD>
ReplyDeletePS, "Serendipity" is a masterpiece! Oh So so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love your Stitching with Beatrix Potter book and want to make the Handmade Hexies quilt. Can you please tell me the finished size in inches? Thank you in advance from England.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of those silly things I did in the book.....all the measurements of the finished projects are in the front of the book on the "Contents" page! I am so sorry I didn't put the measurements with each project as well. So the Handmade Hexie quilt is 33 1/2" x 36 1/2" but you could make it bigger by making more hexies! Good luck (and i hope you get this message as there was no email linked to your comment) Best wishes, Michele x
