One lucky girl!

Today I became one very lucky girl! Larry had tucked aside some of his retirement fund to provide me with an early Birthday/Christmas present. It was also quite timely that he had an urgent email last week begging him to return to work for a 4-6 week contract (seems the special investigations team couldn't do without him!)..........so it was also good timing that he could earn a little extra $$$ to help with this wonderful present for my birthday which is just before Christmas. ....friends know how I hate having a birthday so close to Christmas......but this is one extra special combined birthday/Christmas gift though.

And it was also helped by the very generous Otto from Otto and Penny's Sewing Centre who gave me a wonderful trade-in on the brand new 440QE that I won last year for gaining Best of Show.......thankyou Otto and Larry xx

And what a beautiful machine it is....and how lucky am I? So to celebrate I am going to send two of you a William Morris calendar. Now I know not everyone seems to be able to leave a message on blogger so I will choose the 3rd and the 9th person who emails me (you can find my address on my website and here somewhere!). The calendar is eye candy if I say so myself - partly due to the graphic design person and partly to do with the beauty of William Morris designs of course...if it wasn't for him I would not have made all these quilts.......

I've taken a few portrait shots and for some reason tonight blogger keeps turning them sideways! If you go the the Country Bumpkin website you can see more HERE and they have a super special on at the moment just for Christmas....if you buy the calendar you get a free William Morris applique pattern...that is if you miss out on my give-away! So good luck and thanks for dropping by!

  4. Lucky you, I covet that machine myself, but will have to wait till mid next year before I can afford to get it. Hope to hear more about the machine in the coming months.
