Los Angeles in 5 hours

We had a whirlwind tour today and keeping up with photos from the speeding bus was a little tricky! Larry tried to record my photo number with the info given, but now we are back trying to sort it - none of it makes sense! I took another 180 photos so here goes. First of all we were taken to Venice Beach - home of the hippies from the Woodstock days gone by. These are the canals that were made in the early 1900's to look like Venice and you can read more about it all here.

The image of Jim Morrison is to signify this is where The Doors were formed.......

Now to all the houses that we are quite confused about!!

This is the witches house built for the Wizard of Oz film! It has never been lived in and is maintained by the LA council......
In the distance below you can see a little bit of roof of the Aaron Spelling mansion of 123 rooms and 27 toilets...built for 5 people!!
 Peter Falk still lives here..........
I think this was Elvis Presley's home........
 and this was Lucille Ball's......
But does it really matter? Beverley Hill's is a beautiful tree lined district with many stunning mansions! Behind these gates is the house where Michael Jackson tragically died......
We then drove to Rodeo Drive to see $$$$ sparkle!

The cuff links below were $12,500 so goodness knows what the necklaces were!

The Bugatti below will set you back 1.8 million and if you travel too fast (430kms/hr!), then your petrol tank will only last 12 minutes!!

Next was the drive to Hollywood..........more next post!
