We know Dante Gabriel Rossetti lived with Jane and William and he also had a pet wombat...so since our last visit wombats are everywhere!.......
Also since our last visit there are more and more paintings being revealed by the conservationists hidden behind the white-washed walls.......
The wind-vane which I have never been able to photograph (great new lens thanks Larry!), still has WM 1859 visible.......
Lunch was delicious - spinach, feta and toasted pinenuts all in a homemade wholemeal pastry crust......
From Red House we travelled to Oxford to enjoy a two hour walking tour starting at Exeter College where Morris studied. Along the way we pass the Saxon church where William and Jane married.......(and look what is still hanging in a street stall Larry!)......
Exeter College is one of 38 colleges that makes up Oxford University and signs of Morris surround us in the chapel.....Our walk continued with many familiar sights that Larry and I have had the privilege of seeing over the past few years.......
our favourite sandwich bar all in a 16th century building!.......
Our final stop is an exclusive look at the Oxford Union Pre-Raphaelite murals and then dinner also in the Oxford Union.............
The sun was shining in the banquet hall!......
Sadly tomorrow is our last day so more of that later.....
Thank you for all the lovely photos every day, it is great to get up each morning and follow your adventures.
