Well I am so sorry to you avid readers that missed out on your daily report.....I have been stuck in my hotel room....and how lonely that can be! My body had a violent reaction to some food I ate and all I need say is I became very friendly with the toilet and shower for about 12 hours! I did think at one stage I needed an anti-emetic shot and hoped that there would be a locum service available. But when I contacted reception at 3am all they could offer was a taxi to a local clinic - I don't think so when it is coming out both ends at once!! I feel exhausted this morning but hopefully a day stitching will fix all that and maybe just half an apple and some lemonade over 34 hours will be a kick start to some weight loss!
So what did my friends do while I was on 'sick leave'....well a visit to the William Morris Gallery. I am devastated that I missed the private tour with the curator and the introductory May Morris lecture with Nicola Jarvis. So instead I will just recall the lovely visit I had with Larry last year....
How wrong could reviewers get?...........
And last year was also a special treat seeing my quilt hanging in the gallery with Nicola Jarvis's May Morris embroidery display......
So sorry to hear you have been unwell Michelle. I hope you are on mend now and are able to rejoin your great tour. Thanks for sharing your photos. They bring back memories and also make me feel part of the group when you visit places I haven't been.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awful thing! Nothing worse. Glad you are a little better now.
ReplyDeleteAwww Michele, get better soon.
ReplyDeletesorry you got sick when traveling - that happened to me last time I visited my mom and I spent the night in the bathroom! looks like you have been having a good trip
ReplyDeleteDreadful to be sick on such a wonderful tour. Despite having a tooth implant yesterday, Ken was still salivating at the Hampton Court detail. It is an architectural feast.
ReplyDeleteLove N&K
I'm seriously concerned about your health, Michele. Sounds like you need a complete rest to get that immune system back to par - and food poisoning doesn't help. I felt for you as I read your post. How awful! The photos were great.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling much better soon, Michele! Not fun to be that sick any time, but especially away from home! Get some rest! Fingers crossed for a swift recovery!
