More from Devon and Cornwall

We have had a quiet couple of days recharging the batteries. Yesterday we decided to take the train into Cornwall and visit a place we enjoyed many years ago - St Ives. Unfortunately it rained all day but it was a great way to fill the day. The return train trip took about 5 hours and the views did not disappoint despite the rain and fog.....
 Leaving Devon.....
then across the bridge into Cornwall........

Eating a cornish pasty in the pouring rain while holding an umbrella is quite a feat..........

and on the way back it was time for a 'poppa nap'.........

This morning we decided to see if we could find Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall....well his cafe anyway! It was a good long walk to the Royal William Yard........

Larry watches River Cottage religiously so he was quite excited to be here............
The decor is very 'cottage like' with quite a distressed look..........
 a coffee to start with.........

and then for lunch we shared a fish platter and such great value for just 12 pounds 50 pence..........

Shopping bag for Larry to use back home - yes Larry does the grocery shopping in our house - I haven't done it for years!.....

More bad weather is coming in tomorrow but we are going to be looked after by Helen from Whitecroft to see her part of the world....that will be a treat so more the other side of that. Hope all is well in your part of the world and thanks for dropping by and leaving your lovely messages xx
