Post Tour news

It is always sad to say goodbye to new friends after sharing a wonderful week of William Morris in Adelaide together but it has to be. Everyone reported to me that they had a fabulous time and the weather was unbelievably beautiful for the entire week...and then today we have had thunder and rain so how lucky we were. And I was very lucky to receive these gorgeous roses as a thankyou from the group.......

Our final day was very relaxing and we enjoyed lots of sunshine taking in views of our beautiful coastline.....
But it is back to reality today with tour paperwork to be completed and emails sent out to everyone. I've copied many USB's with hundreds of photos of our days together and they were posted this afternoon to some tour members....
Meanwhile the thunder rumbled and the rain returned while seedlings are popping up everywhere and autumn colours are glowing in the garden.......

Last week I treated myself to a new rain gauge and it was already receiving drops this afternoon........
We also had some quiet time today and I love to watch Larry methodically stitching his latest tapestry........sometimes deep in thought as he contemplates his next step.........

Sometimes it is nice to just sit and do nothing while watching the clock tick as time passes by........
I found some photos from the garden I took a few weeks back - this time of a pair of butterflies that were mating. I searched online for more information and discovered that the male and female remain attached for a great length of time........the male even flew into the tree with her still attached and I read that is very common too! It is nice that we will continue to enjoy these butterflies in the future........

While I was on tour Larry had little Wade for a day on his own. He used the opportunity to catch up with Wade's cousins and you can see on Wade's face how much he loves seeing Beau and Maisie! I'll be back soon so thanks for dropping by x

  1. looks like a tour is fun but hard work too - those roses are lovely and I love that rain gauge! I need to find something like that instead of the simple one I have which is not decorative in the least.

  2. Glad the weather was good for you, and we even received a nice drop of rain over night, so am thankful. Love your rain gauge Michele, thinking of you. xxxx

  3. Those are two precious pics of the kids. What a joyous smile Wade has. Gorgeous fall color there your way. We don't normally have much autumn color. Right now the Jacaranda trees are starting to bloom once again - that makes twice in one year. Beautiful roses!
