William Morris Tour continues

Wednesday October 5th......
We were up bright and early for another jam packed day full of Morris. But first some more images of the weavers cottages at Bibury where we were staying......

Our first destination was the magnificent Wightwick Manor and since my last visit there have been more rooms opened and more to see. It was very special that we could take photos inside......

we also had the privilege of seeing some of May Morris' correspondence.......

By late afternoon we arrived at another National Trust property - Hidcote Manor Gardens and as soon as I stepped off the coach my "UK stalker" appeared! Each year of the tours they have popped up unexpectedly somewhere and I can recall the first time was actually at Wightwick! This time they'd been waiting all afternoon and nearly missed us......good to see you again Maureen and Roger!
It was a rather chilly evening but none the less we saw much before another wonderful supper.....

 More soon
