I took almost 100 photos so here are just a few.........
The images below were quite surreal as piped smoke captured light and one felt like the clouds were just an arm's length away.....and all to slow and melodic music....it was quite hypnotic and I could have stood there for hours......
The State Library had a storybook wall full of important Adelaide events including the history of the festival.......
An indigenous display was spiritually moving.........
So another amble back to the train station for our journey home.......
We also enjoyed a day with Beau and Maisie and decided on a day trip to Granite Island that included an ice-cream and a ride on the horse drawn tram. This is home to the fairy penguins so we imagined we could see them sleeping in their burrows under the rocks.......
So not too much chatter from me this time so I will conclude with these lovely images of little Wade.......
I will post again tomorrow as I have an exhibition to promote and also a couple of quilts to share....so until then take care wherever you are x
you live so close to such a beautiful city that has so much to see - I would love to see it one day but I think most likely all I will see is through your blog! thanks for sharing. the children look so happy and busy as always - how old are they now? nice that you are close enough to see them when you wish, I have missed out on my grandchildren growing up, I saw them more when they were very young then I have in the past 10 years and they are 15 & almost 18 now
ReplyDeleteLooking at Wade now, one would never know of the traumatic moments around his birth. How's your daughter? Thanks so much for the great photos of the light festival and your day at Granite Island.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos Michele, we are lucky in Adelaide to have the festival here each year bringing lots of visitors to town. Great pics of the little ones again, they are always smiling in their photos.
ReplyDeleteLove and kind thoughts, Jean 😍😍
