Beatrix Potter book news

For all of our overseas readers some exciting news.... C&T publications have announced their edition of my "Stitching with Beatrix Potter" book! Thankyou to blogging friend Angie for letting me know by email this morning ....thanks Angie x
If you click on this link HERE you will reach the C&T site for pre-ordering but this edition will not be available until February 20th next year  Meanwhile you can still order a personally signed copy from me HERE now. Meanwhile a little update of our wonderful time at the Craft and Quilt Fair. It has been lovely catching up with so many friends and our heartfelt thanks to you all for your support.....we are well on the way to covering our printing bill! Last night I shared a very chatty dinner with three girls who flew all the way from New Zealand! I was just so sorry I couldn't spend a day with them showing our William Morris treats in Adelaide but it was so lovely to spend a few hours with you Kaye, Ingrid and Debbie and I look forward to dinner together again in Christchurch next year!....
Set up day for the show was Wednesday.....

Lessa with one of her versions of the Rajah quilt talking to Judy Newman the organiser........
Today Sophie came in to help us and while she helped me Larry did his white glove duty (bless him!)......

And how clever are these photos for a bit of fun!......

We are sitting in the middle of the most inspiring of displays including these wonderful textiles from Akiko Ike of Japan. These creations are made up of recycled fabrics in sashiko stitching that Akiko calls Chiku Chiku........

There are many other local and international displays of textile art including a collection from members of the Studio Arts Quilt Associates from all around the world.....
The quilts from the AQC 2016 Challenge following a 'Tradition with a Twist' theme are inspiring and you can see all the finalists on the AQC link......

There are many other displays including a collection of wonderful pieces from the SALT artists (South Australian Living Textiles) with their theme of 'Inner Journeys' and another collaborative collection from Four X Four titled 'Collage to Stitch'.......
There is so much to see and be inspired by and only one more day of it all tomorrow. Meanwhile at home we have a brief glimpse in the morning and night of our wonderful roses and my William Morris rose seems happy to be out of its pot.......
Enjoy our blooms till next time we chat......
