Fresh dill, coriander and parsley sprinkled over dinner is just the best......
My late Mum's irises are still blooming and she's been gone nine years this year........
I think we might even get some lemons and limes from our patio trees too.......
Emily gave me these roses when we arrived home from New Zealand and 11 days on they are still blooming.........
Of course these little people always bring on the most enormous of smiles especially this first one of young Beau ready for his first school disco.......
Now that Beau is at school Maisie gets to ride his motorbike when we are looking after her and that smile says it all........
There are always huge smiles when I get together with Rosie and Janie as we do more laughing than sewing, but on Monday we managed to make some more rope bowls, this time stitched on the machine and all for a very worthy cause too - the Adelaide Mbale Children's Health Foundation........
We also shared some enormous smiles on Monday evening (along with a few tears as well) for a very special event - an Australian Citizenship ceremony for our dear friends Simon and Kay from the UK. I chuckled when we arrived as I found this in the ladies loo and thought how funny......'an English Garden'.........
As we waited I could sense Kay's trepidation. Their three boys still live in the UK as are all their friends and work colleagues.......
The look on Kay's face as they were about to read their pledges kind of said it all but then there were smiles.......
We had a wonderful evening of drinks and nibbles to celebrate this wonderful occasion and even the daffodils in the late evening were smiling for us as we left.........
I've certainly got lots to smile about as I will be sitting stitching and chatting at the Adelaide Craft and Quilt Fair for the next four days. Today when we hung quilts I was impressed at the number of stunning quilts on display so if you live nearby do visit. So I hope wherever you are that you have something to smile about too x
I am smiling about your lovely post. And those "iris" are not German iris but Japanese iris which I have never been able to grow. Fun to see your Spring flowers as we head into fall "leaves".
ReplyDeletehope your allergies get figured out so you know what to avoid so you can exercise! love all your flowers and those rope baskets are so great. Here it is close to fall - our summer in the south always extends to the end of September and we are getting a last blast of heat even though some of the trees are beginning to change color and we have some drying leafs falling on the ground - I will be glad when these high 80 temperatures change to 60's! much more comfortable in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI'm smiling cause we have had 2 days in a row without rain! I got the washing dry outside! It's the little things in life....
