Two hours in Philadelphia

We are on our way to New York....and thanks to the bus I have free wi-fi!! We have just had two hours in Philadelphia where the signing of the Declaration of Independence took place. We had little time to do the Museums but instead had a quiet wander. I love old buildings so we set straight out for Elfreth's Alley - the nation's oldest residential street which dates back to 1720 - 1830. This is one of America's last intact historical streetscapes. ..........

What a great idea - these were supplied at the entrance of the Bourse Building where we had an early lunch......

We only have one full day and two evenings to see the sights of New York!! So this is our plan......a Broadway show tonight (Mary Poppins), a harbour cruise and bus tour tomorrow and then ground zero tomorrow afternoon. Then hopefully time to see Times Square tomorrow evening.....so see you on the other side of all that!

    I have never been to Philly...and your pictures tell me I WANT to see that place this year.... When I do vaca I tend to do three days - your endurance just amazes me - so three days in Philly seems perfect... see you after the East Coast...

    i am so enjoying your travel photo's. I would never have the stamina to do it in person. You will certainly return home with enough inspiration to keep you busy for a few years to come
