Montreal to Ottawa

It is so hard to decide which photos to post...today I took over 180 in just five hours in Ottawa ...... so here goes!! The day started with plenty of sun but by the afternoon the cold grey clouds returned and now it is raining again. Today we had a maximum temperatures of 4-5 degrees but still loving it.
This is the Ottawa river and during winter it freezes over and becomes a skating rink... just amazing!

Parliament House..........
More great reflections of the old on the new.........

 The Museum of Civilisation .........

The views from the Museum to the city........

We were told we needed to try Beaver Tails and to just remove the hair before we eat them. Well it turns out they are not as they would first seem....click here to learn more!
More magnificent colour.....

The magnificent Chateau Laurier hotel...........we snuck inside for some pics as well.....

And a few more sights as we wandered back to our hotel......

Queen Elizabeth II.......

Tomorrow's journey will end in Toronto...see you then.
