Friendship

Having friends is indeed a blessing and how simple AA Milne put it......"Friendship" said Christopher Robin, "is a very comforting thing to have". This past week I have been reminded of how special friends are starting with the wedding last weekend where I enjoyed the company of some of my nursing friends of over 44 years. Then last Friday we celebrated another special friend's 60th birthday......the warm and caring Delma who has overcome such sadness in her life. I won't put all the faces on the blog as I really should ask permission first but what a treat we had celebrating in fine style with a high tea at Tealicious Willunga.........

Then we went to see the delightful Bruce Beresford movie "Ladies in Black"  - An Australian feel good movie set in 1959. You can see the trailer here.......
And yesterday some more friendship celebrations - this time over lunch at Carrick Hill. And what a surprise to find two of us wearing the same gorgeous blouse.......oops!!......

Larry and Simon solving the problems of the world...or maybe talking about good English brews as they often do.........

What incredible colour........

And as we headed back to the car (after what became a three hour lunch), we noticed this little family quite close to Mr McGregor's garden.........
It was so nice to have had a week of friendship where we can share the highs and lows of life with lots of laughs thrown in - the best therapy ever.

  1. It is lovely catching up with friends and even better having a yummy afternoon tea! I have heard some good reports about the film so will see it myself one day. Beautiful flowers again and I love the duck family waddling along.
Take care, love from Jean 😍😍
