Digital Patterns for Christmas!

Now that my life of travel and teaching is over I have decided I had better work out another way to support myself so that Larry doesn't have to keep digging into his pension for me....I am not very good at saving! So with that I have finally developed a page where you can buy some of my patterns online. It is under the header of the blog and is simple to use or click HERE. Once payment has gone through you will hear from me personally where I will send you all that you will need. One quilt that I have had many requests for is the "Fantasy at Midnight" one so I have just loaded that in there as well.......
Thankyou and any other requests just send me a message! During the week I was lucky enough to celebrate another birthday - 60 plus one! I am not one to hide the fact that I don't enjoy having my birthday so close to Christmas but Sophie asked me if I would like to join her and Wade at the hospital for the day so I was very quick with my answer! He is doing well and growing each week so maybe with all our fingers crossed he will be home in a couple of weeks........

Emily was working an early in the adjoining private hospital so it was wonderful that I could have lunch with my two girls as well. After a family dinner together that night Larry and I decided to take a drive to see some of the beautiful Christmas lights in the neighbourhood where we used to live.........

I asked my girls if I could have some vouchers for my birthday from a bookshop/cafe that we visit often - Mockingbird Lounge that happens to have knitting and crochet classes in the evenings. Sophie found a lovely way to hide the vouchers in this Beatrix Potter treasure box.........
I also received these gorgeous gifts in the post and this person knows my love of mushrooms and ladybirds so incorporated them in her beautiful stitching........I love the life like mushroom as well.......

So with Christmas only four sleeps away it is time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas with your loved ones or doing what you do at this festive time of year. For some I know it is a time of sadness while reflecting on loved ones who are no longer here. We especially know that as both our Mums died a few days before Christmas and a dear friend has just lost her husband so we will say farewell to him tomorrow. Thanks as always for dropping by......this blogging world of ours is amazing and is such a nice way to record life and share in its journey. I will leave you with this lovely image of Beau and Maisie that Brett sent me during the week.....chat again soon xx

  1. Happy Birthday Michele and have a very nice Christmas it looks like baby Wade is coming along nicely and the other two grands look wonderful and happy as always. My mother had a birthday right before Christmas as well and the twins -my brothers have a new years birthday - birthdays at the holidays seem to get lost in the shuffle don't they. After the New Year I intend to start your quilt "Morning Glory" from the More Wm. Morris book - I have the fabric, I need to do a practice square first and see if I can figure out machine applique or if I will do needle turn like I did with Floral Fantasy

  2. Beau and Maise are just that perfect age to really enjoy all the delights of Christmas, enjoy! So glad Wade continues to do well. Happy birthday to you, December birthdays suck and one day I am going to find a legitimate excuse to have a party in June and will invite you to join me! Congratulations on the embarking on pattern selling I am sure it will be a great success, just like your teaching career.

  3. The best Christmas present is that Wade is doing so well! Oh, Joy. How nice you have your girls so close. This Christmas is going to be so special as we help our new granddaughter, Grace, celebrate it with us. Life is good. Merry Christmas, Michele and Larry, and all your family. God's blessings in the coming New Year.

  5. Happy Birthday greetings to you! So glad you spent it in such a sweetly memorable way. Your Wade is really filling out, isn't he? Lovely.
Condolences on the loss of your friend, and sending warm thoughts as you remember your mothers. I lost both my parents at Christmastime, two years apart, and I think the combination of grief and the holidays is doubly-hard, as you would be missing your dear ones anyway, with all the memories holidays bring, and then there comes the anniversary date...I hope the holidays also bring sweet memories of days gone by.
