A little further past government house and into the mall where there was evidence of Chinese New Year and Easter in the stores already!.........
And then my favourite place where we will be having an exclusive look behind the scenes on the tours........
It was also a momentous week for the family as Beau started his first day at school. As you can see by his face he was super excited and science is high on his agenda! Brett offered him many after school options including cricket, football etc but all he wanted was science! We are so blessed to have him in our lives and to watch his journey will be very special......
Of course Miss Maisie had to get in on the act as she prepared for childcare.....she has a long wait for school poor girl as she is not even three until July!.......
I have had time in the evenings in front of the TV making more rope baskets including the ones for the Mbale Health Project.....
And then Sophie said she would love one to 'dump' their keys in. So I asked for a list of colour preferences and surprised her as I used them all!......
Yesterday I received this generous gift from Judith - a fabulous Beatrix Potter toy instruction book that was published in the early 1970's......I feel so very lucky so thankyou for your kindness Judith - I love it! Now to make time so I can stitch some of them.....
The weather continues to confuse us all and it is making many of us quite fatigued. It has been the wettest and mildest Summer that I can recall and I found more about that HERE and as I type it is raining yet again....but we have had the most spectacular sunsets and this was a couple of nights ago from our front door.....
While preparing this post I found these images on my phone from our late afternoon walk at the nearby beach on Australia Day......
Quite incredible to think of activity here 270 million years ago......
So warmest wishes wherever you are x
I think I remember going to Hallet Cove on a school excursion, many years ago. How often we take for granted what is in our own back yard. Thanks for showing it to us.
ReplyDeleteSuch exciting things going on for you. I am so happy for you, your darling family and your friends who are lucky enough to be on the tours. The pictures are fabulous of your part of the world. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletemy house is so disorganized from clearing out the sewing room that I can not find the package you sent me of the May Morris quilt - but I will find them I'm sure!! The two you show turned out fantastic! I think it is good to step back from the business end of the tours if you are not enjoying it so much and stick with the part that you do. All your photos are fantastic - you have so many pretty places to take walks at. Little Beau looks so happy to go to school. You are lucky to have a good summer and I know sometimes you are so dry you most likely need the rain - but not too much. Here for our winter in our area we are dry and almost to burn ban conditions mostly warmer than normal and have only had a few really cold spells this winter - spring might be early at this rate. I just got word from C&T publishing that my B.Potter book is on its way - looking forward to receiving it.
