Washington by day and night

Last night we saw some sights which were also great to see during the day today. Sadly some photos are quite grey as it rained most of the morning. First of all the John F Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts.......

Tonight we had a wonderful farewell dinner....sad to be leaving some of our tour colleagues but it was a great night with lots of laughs and patriotic singing from our home countries! We drive to New York tomorrow for 2 nights - so more from the "Big Apple" then. Thanks once again for sharing in our travels.

    Not sure that I like JFK's head like that. The War Memorial was sobering though, so many dead. Their monuments are massive, no wonder you were tired. You may need to recuperate at a quilt store or two.
