Niagara Falls at night

Thanks to all of you for your comments....and some of your responses are so prompt! Lovely to hear from those of you who live here (And Jude at home xx). Sorry that there was no time to actually meet some of you who live here in person. But for those of you going to the Houston Quilt Market and Quilt Show we might bump into each other or even at this event here! This week though I am really looking forward to the Amish country and quilts over the next two days.......dinner Amish style tomorrow night which I am sure will be memorable. For now here are the views of our night tonight. It started with dinner and then we had the very unique opportunity of getting up in the light tower and making our own display. Firstly the photos are of the falls when we arrived.........

After dinner we went up to the tower.......
And here I am at the computer hub making my own unique rainbow of colours illuminating Niagara Falls! Quite incredible with the tourists below unaware that we are controlling it......

 and there they are...........

The lights first occurred in 1879.  The current location has been going since 1925 except during World War 2 when they were turned off to conserve energy. It was certainly an amazing thing to do and apparently it is not available to the general public so thank you Globus tours for making this happen!

A few raccoons live up on the hill as well and we salvaged some bread rolls from dinner for them........

Back at the hotel I wanted to show you the view from our hotel room.....during the day.....

and at night..........
Next time I will be sharing our Amish experience.
