Toronto at night

We have had a wonderful night tonight. We did plan to catch up with friends (sorry Penny and Paul), but with such little time here in Toronto we decided instead to do a "once in a lifetime" dinner at the top of the tallest tower in the world...well until Dubai pinched that record from Canada! We had dinner in the Toronto CN Tower in the revolving restaurant - 351 metres high. But first some more of our afternoon adventures. These are views of our harbour cruise. The day was very cold and grey once again but still amazing..........

Then we strolled through a huge underground shopping mall - Eaton centre.......

Now to our wonderful evening. On our way to the tower.........

First of all the security screen - you stand in a booth which sends out gushes of air over your body...feels like your hair is standing up on end (checking for explosives).....

Then the lift on the outside of the building....Larry is not good at heights but he managed very well. It takes 61 seconds to get to the top and then the views start as the sun begins to set........

 Views of the airport........
We both ordered steak as we had been told it is a must....and we both agreed it is the best piece of steak we have ever had. It just melted in your mouth......
This is Larry's plate at the end.......
and mine.........it was just too much!
And then the dessert....only half of that was consumed as well!

And here is that lift on the outside of the tower that took us up 181 stories......
So farewell Toronto (and Penny and Paul)....hope to see you again one day! Tomorrow we drive to Niagara Falls....see you then.
